I got inspired to add a Now page by this web site.
The idea with a /now page is to tell what you would tell a friend you hadn’t seen in a year.
These subjects fill my mind right now.
Health
I am always thinking about good health. What does it mean?
I have for a long time been trying to live a Paleo modern lifestyle. How to combine a modern lifestyle with an early Stone Age lifestyle?
Paleo Food
The Paleo diet is close to the Low Carb High Fat (LCHF) diet and a keto diet. Basically, you are avoiding foods that the early Stone Age people did not have access to.
Fasting
Throughout human evolution, we did never have three meals a day. And we even fasted for longer periods. This is hard to accept for many people, but our body’s energy system can run on two different fuels: sugar and fat. When you run on fat, you are in ketosis. This means that you can detect ketones in your blood and urine.
The best way to get into ketosis is fasting.
Sports
My favorite activities

- Crossfit
- Swimming (pool and open water)
- Running, mostly trail
- Biking
- Skiing
Except for Water polo and Crossfit, I enjoy these sports together with my partner.
I try to have at least one activity every day.
Freelance developer
I started my freelance business, in January 2023, and I love it.
The revenue stream goes up and down, but I enjoy the freedom to experiment if I get an idea worth pursuing. I have leart so much over the past two years.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
I am programming in the Microsoft AL language. I work for customers who need either app or customization (adaptations to existing functionality).
Visually impared
My children mean the world to me and I am proud of them.
However, my youngest son is almost blind. He has been attending a special school, but in 2023 he joined a local high school.
Be My Eyes
I am truly excited about Be My Eyes. It is an app for visually impaired people.
Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses
My son is currently testing the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and we are excited about the opportunity.

I recently discovered that you can include $ \LaTeX $ in the Markdown format. I think this is the way forward, but I have to see what his teachers say about it.
I am investigating what would be the simplest, yet sufficiently powerful way for him to deliver his homework.

TUBB4B Gene
My son has a defect in the TUBB4B gene. Something I would like to understand better.
Python and Braille Displays
I am working on a hobby project to make software and games for Braille Displays.
I have realized one game, so I know that it works, but it is too unstable.
For a long time, I have been struggling with making this work on a Raspberry Pi, but I just realize that I will never make it work.
I plan to pivot to a real PC with Ubuntu.

I am always working on some Ruby on Rails app or project.
